Restorations are continuous being carried by the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum’s conservation department.


Ongoing projects:

Medieval altar panel ‘Crowned Virgin with Five Saints and Donor Family’, Basel, circa 1470, re-restoration, technical examination and documentation, retouching paint losses

Painting ‘Portrait of Mrs Kirchhoff’ by Alexej von Jawlensky, circa 1922,  complicated repair of flaking paint, retouching paint losses


Project in preparation:

Restoration of Andy Warhol’s ‘Banana’ by student of the Institut für Restaurierungs- und Konservierungswissenschaft at the Technische Hochschule in Cologne, expected project summer 2017
