Politics at the Kitchentable. Nutrition in Contemporary Art
23/05/2026 - 04/10/2026
How do we currently eat, how do we want to eat and live in the future, and what impact will this have? The international group exhibition “Politics at the Kitchen Table” examines both individual and societal—and thus always political—aspects of food, along with its ecological, economic, and social interconnections, through the lens of contemporary artworks.
Within biological and cultural cycles, what we eat shapes us. At the same time, our decisions influence the environment around us, so that through our actions we constantly reshape the state of the world at our own kitchen table and in the social interaction of eating. This exhibition explores various sociopolitical and ecological dimensions of food from an artistic perspective.
