DELTABEBEN – Regionale 2018

01 September – 21 October 2018

The Regionale DELTABEBEN exhibition has taken place every two years since 2010. Alternating between both sides of the River Rhine, it focuses on the present-day artistic landscape of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan area. In 2018, the fifth edition of this exhibition project, which in the meanwhile has firmly established itself as the regional biennale, will again take place in Ludwigshafen. It is jointly organised by the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum and the Kunstverein Ludwigshafen. The special attraction of this survey show is its stylistic diversity and the broad spectrum of artistic techniques on display: painting, drawing, photography and video are just as much represented as sculpture, installation and performance.
The participating artists was selected by 15 nominators – curators, art critics and academy professors from the region as well as representatives from the organising exhibition venues – each of whom could name two artists. In this way, 29 artists of all ages who live and work in the greater Rhine-Neckar area are given a platform for the presentation of their works.

Curators: Barbara Auer (Kunstverein Ludwigshafen), Astrid Ihle, René Zechlin (Wilhelm-Hack-Museum)
